All right, well now we are going to come to the amazing part of this story, and there's
so many incredible stories.
We've got some really impressive stories here.
The band, The Defiant.
How many people here have been enjoying the band so far, yes?
Come on up, and what we're going to do is we want to hear their stories, because each
one of these gentlemen here has an incredible story to tell about why they're even here.
Oh yeah, no, don't shake your head, you've got an awesome story coming in.
Oh, sorry, I thought that was a shake of like, no good story, so hey.
Could you introduce yourself?
Can you introduce yourself for us, please?
Tell us, what's your story?
Why are you here?
I can introduce myself.
My name is Dickie Barrett.
I was in a band called the Mighty Mighty Pause Sounds.
Thank you very much.
Save your pause for the next part.
I was also, for 20 years, the announcer on Judy Kimmel Live.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
I was.
When you say remote, maybe even on purpose, so to speak.
In50니까.
I would be devoted to you.
You know what, I don't know why.
I'm never yet on stage.
What were you doing?
I did my best.
And he's responsible for writing the biggest hits of that band, and he's a super sweet
guy, I am, so happy to be in a band with him, and that can be said for all of these people.
This is Pete Ferrata.
Pete Ferrata has been many great bands, and the one that's most notable, unfortunately,
is a band called The Offspring.
Pete's better at telling the story than me, but he had a history with vaccines and shots
that didn't really work well with him early on, years ago.
And when the COVID shot came along, he seriously considered, why don't you take it from there?
Yeah, I mean, I considered it, but my history of having reactions didn't make me a good candidate.
To my doctor who said, you're young, you're fit, you're not on medications, you have no
comorbidities, you're not overweight, there's no reason for you to take this.
And so I refused to take it and was kicked out of the band, and like so many people affected
through all of this, had to kind of find a new way forward for myself and my family.
But I think the point was showing my kids that there's no opportunity or job or situation
that's more important than your sovereignty and taking care of yourself.
So yeah, thankfully in a much better place with much better people, making much better music.
On the bass guitar, and although nobody except for maybe me and Pete got fired or suffered
anything because of the decisions we made, they're like-minded and think like us.
And that's Johnny Rio, he was a band called The Street Dogs.
This is Joey Loraca, he's from Los Angeles.
Don't hold that against him.
He was in a band called The Briggs.
Alright, we'll take it away. Thank you.
